Training Course for Cataract and Anterior Segment Surgeons
On August 24th, Dr. Maria Soledad Romero led an informative training course for cataract and anterior segment surgeons. This training course focused on teaching intrascleral haptic fixation for IOL placement, especially in cases where there is no capsular support. Surgeons also learned how to perform the Glued IOL and Yamane techniques, both of which offer reliable solutions for complex cataract surgeries.
During the session, participants practiced these techniques in a hands-on environment. Additionally, they watched live demonstrations and actively engaged in discussions. Dr. Romero emphasized the importance of precision and patient safety. Surgeons had the chance to ask questions and share their experiences, making the session more interactive.
The training course aimed to develop technical skills and deepen participants’ understanding of the latest advancements in anterior segment surgery. As a result, surgeons left the course feeling more confident in performing these complex procedures. They gained new tools and knowledge to improve patient outcomes. Overall, the course proved to be a valuable experience for everyone involved.
