An Optical coherence tomography, commonly known as OCT, is a fast imaging technique that doesn’t affect the patient and doesn’t require eye contact. It allows the diagnosis, management and monitoring of any macula problems.
It helps to detect several pathologies, including:
Macular edema
Macular holes
Epiretinal membranes
Retinal dystrophy
Retinal vein occlusion
Myopia magna or Pathological myopia
Age-related macular degeneration (ARMD).
It’s one of the many studies used at #PrecisionEyeCare. Did you know about this technique?
