Cataract is a natural result of aging eyes, and one of the most common causes of vision loss. It happens when the eye’s natural lenses become cloudy and opaque, greatly affecting the clarity of vision. It turns vision blurry and colors faded.
Fortunately, cataract can be corrected with surgery.
June is Cataract Awareness Month, as determined by the American Academy of Ophthalmology. It’s a great opportunity to remember the importance of yearly eye check-ups.
