Refractive errors are very common defects in the eyes that make it hard to see clearly. They occur when the eye can’t focus images clearly. These defects are usually corrected with eyeglasses, contact lenses or surgery.?️
The most common refraction errors are:
▶️Nearsightedness (myopia): Makes it hard to see distant objects clearly;
▶️Farsightedness (hyperopia): Makes it hard to see nearby objects clearly;
▶️Astigmatism: Makes objects at any distance seem distorted due to an abnormal curvature of the cornea;
▶️Presbyopia: Due to aging, the eye lens loses its ability to focus on nearby objects.
