Precision Eye Care was founded and inspired by a health care model in which a personalized and customized approach meets high quality and innovation. Precision Eye Care acquired Glaucoma Experts, a practice established in 1979 by Dr. Alan L. Robin who provided compassionate and excellent care to the residents of the Mid-Atlantic states and also served as an international center for research in the fields of glaucoma and cataract. Our mission is to continue Dr. Robin’s legacy of prioritizing what is best for the patients and providing compassion and empathy ,while continuing to help advance the field of ophthalmology.
Our new location at The Rotunda is a premium location with easy access to different areas in Maryland and free parking for our patients.

Meet Dr.Maria S. Romero
Dr. Maria Romero is a highly accomplished ophthalmologist with 20 years of experience in the field. She currently practices at Precision Eye Care and previously served as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
Dr. Romero completed her ophthalmology residency at LSU New Orleans and pursued a prestigious fellowship at the Wilmer Eye Institute. Her extensive training has equipped her with expertise in a wide range of advanced procedures, including advanced lens laser cataract surgery, EVO Vision ICL, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, blepharoplasty, and pterygium excision.
In addition to her surgical expertise, Dr. Romero is dedicated to treating various medical conditions such as dry eye and providing comprehensive eye exams. Her holistic approach ensures her patients receive the highest standard of care.
Recognized by her peers for her exceptional skill and dedication, Dr. Romero has been honored with the Top Patient Choice Award by U.S. News & World Report. Her unwavering commitment to restoring and maintaining vision has earned her the trust and respect of the ophthalmology community.
