Safe Toys and Celebrations Month

#PrecisionEyeCare wants to share some tips to keep your holiday celebrations safe:

Choose toys and age-appropriate gifts for children

Avoid toys with sharp edges or objects.

Avoid gifting darts or bb guns. If it’s an item they asked for, add protecting goggles in the kit.

Teach children how to play safely and avoid hazardous situations.

Ensure that there is always appropriate adult supervision.

Know what to do (and what not to do) if an eye injury occurs. Seek immediate medical attention from an ophthalmologist. As you wait for medical help, make sure not to touch, rub, apply pressure, or try to remove any object stuck in the eye.
